On Sunday, we shared that a new season is unfolding for Pastor Sherri and Pastor Andrew as they step away from their roles on GTC staff.
Pastor Sherri is retiring from Children’s Ministry and entering a well-deserved season of rest and renewal before continuing into what God has next for her. We are so grateful for the love, dedication, and faith she has poured into our children and families over the years.
Pastor Andrew has accepted another employment opportunity and, while his staff role is changing, we are thankful that he will continue to be part of the GTC congregation.
We celebrate both Pastor Sherri and Pastor Andrew with deep gratitude and look forward to cheering them on in this next chapter!

The Glass family has been an incredible blessing to GTC. As passionate champions of the next generation, their legacy will continue to be felt long after this season of transition.
Pastor Sherri has served faithfully for the past 18 years, standing in the gap time and time again. She has been an anchor through many seasons—walking alongside so many through life’s storms and celebrating with them in moments of great joy. Her deep love for the Lord, unwavering passion for prayer, and commitment to mentoring have left a lasting impact on countless lives.
Wherever Pastor Sherri went, she brought joy, fun, and laughter. From day camp memories to musicals and choir, to faithfully riding the bus ministry each week, she created meaningful connections and impressions that have touched the lives of children. She faithfully led teams, invested in the hearts of women, and created a Kids Ministry environment with solid biblical teaching and genuine care. And of course, her “parking-lot-sized dreams” gave us unforgettable Canada Day celebrations! We can’t wait to see what God inspires her to dream up next.
Pastor Sherri has been a “mother to many” and we speak words of blessing over her:
“She is clothed with strength and dignity,
and she laughs without fear of the future.
When she speaks, her words are wise,
and she gives instructions with kindness…
A woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.
Honour her for all she has done;
let her deeds bring her praise.” –Proverbs 31 excerpts
Stuart Glass has been a faithful partner in ministry every step of the way. Serving together in Children’s Ministry, “Mr. Stuart” will be especially remembered by his beloved Grade 3 class. Beyond that, Stuart has poured into the men of our church, leading our Men’s Ministry team with excellence and heart. Thank you, Stuart, for investing so deeply in our people. We are profoundly grateful for both of you and the legacy you leave behind.

Pastor Andrew and Abbie, along with their incredible team, have poured countless hours into GTC’s Youth Ministry programs. Serving the next generation with wholehearted dedication, Pastor Andrew’s desire to see kids come to Christ has left an eternal impact. From leading major fundraising campaigns to help students attend the annual Overflow Conference, to creatively bringing conference experiences to the North, his passion for God’s Kingdom has shone brightly. His high energy, love for God’s Word, and relational leadership have made a meaningful impact on his team and students.
Abbie has also sown seeds of service, regularly helping out and leading groups of kids on Friday nights. She’s been a blessing to the students with her kind and caring nature. Together, they have created a vibrant environment where students can grow in faith and connection.
As we celebrate their ministry, we echo this blessing over them:
“The Lord bless you
and keep you;
Make His face shine upon you
and be gracious to you;
The Lord turn His face toward you
and give you peace.
May His favour be upon you
and a thousand generations—
your family and your children,
and their children, and their children.”
—The Blessing by Cody Carnes, Elevation Worship, and Kari Jobe, based on Numbers 6
Pastor Andrew and Abbie, thank you for your steadfast dedication and heartfelt service in youth ministry!
