In Week 2 of our Thrive: The Book of Daniel series, Pastor Curtis Gudrie continues through Daniel 1 with a message called “Draw The Line.”
Daniel lived in a culture that pressured him to compromise, but he made a decision ahead of time about where he would stand. His convictions shaped his choices, even when those choices came with a cost.
In this message, we look at three important steps from Daniel’s example: Know the Line, Commit to the Line, and Live the Line. We’re reminded that convictions are more than preferences-they are decisions about how we will live, even when circumstances change. Following Jesus doesn’t mean responding to culture with anger or hostility. We can stand firmly for truth while still treating people with grace, compassion, and respect.
Daniel shows us that we don’t have to become like the culture around us in order to thrive within it. Instead, we can become more deeply rooted in who God has called us to be.
