What are you magnifying in your life?

In Week 6 of On Repeat: Summer in the Psalms, Pastor Curtis Gudrie looks at Psalm 34 and David’s decision to praise God even when life was difficult. Praise is more than a song- it begins as a posture of the heart. David reminds us that worship is an intentional choice, not something determined by our circumstances. When fear, worry, shame, anger, or disappointment begin to feel overwhelming, we can choose where we place our focus. We don’t praise because life is always good. We praise because God is always good.

In this message, we discover how praise:

-Begins with a personal choice

-Helps us magnify God instead of our circumstances

-Shifts our focus from fear to His greatness

-Becomes a testimony that encourages others

-Can help the next generation learn to trust God David moves from “I will bless the Lord” to “Come, let us magnify His name together.”

Our worship was never meant to remain personal. When we choose to praise God through difficult seasons, our praise can become an invitation for someone else to discover His goodness.

Your worship today may become someone else’s faith tomorrow. This week, instead of magnifying everything that is wrong, let’s choose to magnify the One who is always worthy.
